5...ok the list is growing. I told you i was going to see how many would express interest. I already broght this idea to the some of the club members...their blown away with it, they want to go yesterday with this idea, but we need to visit and discuss this some more.

Ditto for your next mod's Viper, it is always best to ride in pairs while jeeping on a trail.

Shane, the problem is NOT the width, it will always be the height. Clearance is all , a minimum of 3" is requested.

That picture was taken by the trail master , he always rides an F-150 4x4. I ride a F-350 Diesel Crewcab.

If I still have the trail jeep, time and money, I'd jump at the chance. Well I'd still jump at the chance even if the trail jeep sales, but I only have a 2" lift on the Unlimited.

No problem Doc...6. So instead of jeeping , you would just tip toe around the rocks. What you lack in clearance you gain in flexibility with that unlimited...Ditto.

7...Daryl included...it is begining to sound like a doable trip, plus the last minute hopppers. we have enough time to talk some more and maybe give it a date.

Now, for that peak bag...what is a peak bag, Picacho?.

Saludos

It sounds like fun trip.  Wish I could go.  I have a friend with a tricked out jeep who would probably love to haul it down there.  But my wife is having surgery tomorrow and I'll be hanging around the house for a while.

Hope y'all pull it off and, Homero, if you don't take a bunch of pictures you will never hear the end of it!

Homero, if the pictures of your camp near Boquillas are any indication, you'll be prepared. Surely there's some really neat back roads that aren't too radical.  If someone doesn't know what they're doing and messes up it would be no fun, to say the least, but looks like you have a good group and you've been there done that on the backroads.  Next time you can adjust the trip accordingly, if it works out.

Easy for me to say!

to "bag" a peak is to summit it. when a person climbs a lot of mountains, "bagging" it adds it to his list of peaks he has climbed

Does he get extra credit if he summits while carrying his "peak bag"?

I don't have a 4x4 but would love to go as a passenger. Have travelled in Mexico and have been drooling since I saw Homero's photos. We have to go before Jan 22, 2008 or we have to have passports to return to the US.
