Riding around the Old Ore road looking for Old Ore's. None were found

I didn't shoot this one. A friend of mine did.  This was parked outside of The Mansion

Hoodoo, what were you thinking!?
Al
Apparently there wasnt a whole a lot of thinking going on that day. We were getting frustrated with not being able to find a decent camp close to the river. Many of the roads back then had locked gates preventing access. Besides, 4X4 will get you anywhere you want to go right?  :icon_rolleyes:  :eusa_doh:

Nice shorts Don! :icon_lol:

Well it was the 1980's Actually, Im the one holding the camera but you can bet I was adorned in something equally spectacular. :icon_lol:

I'm liking this thread already.  Here's my old ride, a 2003 Toyota Matrix that I bought right off the delivery truck in April of 2003.  I drove it out to the park in Feb '09:

With a ground clearance of maybe 3" due to the 'ground effects', there was no way I could take that vehicle anywhere off pavement.  Heck, I had to be careful and not pull right up to a parking curb.

2005 Toyota Tundra with a dead battery at the Elephant Tusk trailhead about 3 weeks ago.  Thank god for Spot beacons and the US Border Patrol.

Remember kids, it was a long hot summer.  Check those water levels in your battery before you head out.
