Sierra Madera Meteor Crater - Fort Stockton / Marathon

As it was raining here in Helotes this afternoon, I was browsing the internet looking for things of interest in West Texas.  I came across the Sierra Madera crater which is a meteor impact site that is not far off Hwy 385 between Fort Stockton and Marathon.

That's awesome!  I always just assumed that was part of the glass mountains.  Makes me want to roam that area with a metal detector.
