Kathy's Kosmic Kowgirl Kafe. A roadside eatery in Terlingua.
Remember, folks, it's 100 miles to the closest hospital.

Why all the K's?  That sounds a little weird.

I'm from deep east Texas (Anderson County).  When I see a restaurant or barber shop like Kountry Kettle Kitchen, or Kristie's Kountry Kuts, I'm quite aware of what it means.  But, maybe 4 K's is different.

yes, I understand...my first/late wife was from East Texas and when we would go visit her family, we would joke on the way back home how our IQ would lower 50 points every time we go there!

(no offense to you east Texans, after all, I've got way more east Texan in my blood than west!)

But, I am pretty certain, it is not all a reflection of this attitude you suggest.

You hit that nail on the head. Look 'Terlingua' up in the dictionary. It means 'weird' in whatever language it was derived from. :rolling: :rolling:

Remember the Ops center in Men in Black. Didn't you see the fleeting image of Terlingua on the big board? Michael Jackson :icon_eek: and Ozzy Osbourne :icon_eek: :icon_eek: would blend right in and in Ozzy's case, he actually speaks in Terlinguish (an example of which is in the latest Samsung Propel cell phone commercial...here....

)

With respect to KKKK, some folks will unavoidably and understandably mistake it for a lesser organization of morons (lesser in Ks, intelligence, gene pool, sociability, tolerance...whatever standard you'd care to apply) if they don't know what it refers to.

actually, I just remembered something after speaking to Sarah....

...when we were talking to Kathy about our wedding, she mentioned that the original name was going to be Kathy's Kosmic Kafe, but realized the connotation and added Kowgirl....she's a super lady I highly recommend patronizing her Kafe.

I haven't eaten at the cafe but the food at the wedding was awesome.  You all picked a great person to cater the wedding.
