While not exactly a book, I didn't know where else to park this brochure given to my by a deceased relative.  It dates from maybe the 50's?

Pretty cool.  I love looking at this kind of stuff. 

Because the map does not show even a hint of an interestate anywhere in Texas, I would guess this would date from the early fifties.
Wake me when it's time to go.
