Title: Paying for campsite
Post by: Jefferydean on November 05, 2018, 08:08:29 AM
Good morning all,
At the self pay stations for Chisos Basin,  is it best to pay with a check? I imagine putting cash in envelopes would not be a good idea and credit cards would not be an option? Just getting my ducks in a row :)

Thanks so much

I always pay with cash. Once you stuff your envelope you drop it in a locked box, so there’s no risk of theft.

Cash works fine. Just drop the envelope into the slot in the vault and you are good to go.

Once upon a time you could fill out credit card info. That changed a few years ago. I usually stock up on singles and tens and pay one night at a time. That's because my fellow campers often lose their enthusiasm for sleeping on the ground midway through a trip.  :icon_rolleyes:
