Also, pack some warm clothes for RGV, the cold air in the park sinks to the river level overnight and you can experience some chilly nights.

Robert is spot on. In the winter, depending on humidity levels and winds, RGV can have the coldest nights in the park. Typically happens in the winter when the humidity is low, clear skies and no wind. Sometimes the Basin is significantly warmer overnight.

Another question, I am trying to get away for a bit but I am taking an online class that I will need to have wifi access for. What if the wifi coverage like at the RGV campsite and if it is not good where is the closest spot for free wifi?
Thanks for all the help.

It's a little slow and spotty. The access point is near the coke machine.
