A little Texas trivia
« on: January 06, 2006, 08:36:53 AM »
I found this website with little Texas quizzes and thought that it would be fun to share.

Being Texas proud and a self professed Texas explorer, I took the Texas History Quiz.

I stand humiliated.

Enjoy!

I only got 6 of 10 on the history quiz. Jeesh, my 7th grade Texas History teacher/football coach would kick my ass, again.

my great-great-great-great grandfather of San Jacinto fame (and his more famous Alamo defender cousin) should be rolling in their graves right now  :(

I got 6/10, but had to guess on a couple.  Not very good for a native Texan whose family came here around 1840.  I'd probably be just as bad on a US quiz and our family came over from England in 1680.

If anyone needs me, I'll be repeating 7th grade Texas History @ TH Rodgers in Houston Texas under Mrs. Harris.  I think I made an A the first time around - Lim X-->0 years ago.  My neighbor, Moses, was working on something known as the Ark.  50%.   I'm so ashamed.

8/10 here (missed questions 3 & 6).  In all fairness, the majority of the questions were references to rather obscure events in our (Texas) illustrious and detailed past.  Pretty cool web site though.

It's an old test - the test is 5 years old - almost 6 - March 2000.  No wonder.  History has been rewritten since then.
