I was about to sign up for a membership in the BBNHA but noticed an offer of a joint membership with Friends of Big Bend National Park.  Any of you members of the latter group?

I am a Lifetime Member of BBNHA only, and do whatever I can to support that organization.

I definitely plan to join the BBNHA.  I stopped in all of the visitor centers while in the park last week and purchased a number of items as always.  It was interesting to visit with the volunteers we met as well.  All were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I am a member of both.  The BBNHA membership gets you a discount...15% I think...off of books sold in the VCs. Pays for itself when I do my Christmas shopping:)
The opinion expressed above is my own and not that of the National Park Service or the Federal Government.

I've been a member of BBNHA for many years.  I have the Big Bend calendar I get as a perk of my membership hanging on the wall behind my computer, I get a copy the Paisano in the mail, I get 15% off on all the books, etc. that I buy, and I like their seminars, though I think the seminars have gotten a little pricey this year for what you get. The seminars are now being booked by the Far Flung Outdoor Center because of insurance concerns, I believe.

If any of you are thinking about buying Big Bend license plates (yes, I have mine - B189B), you get a year's membership in Friends of Big Bend when you do.  You do have to let Friends know, though.

Don't owners of BIBE TX Lisc. Plates get a "free membership" to something or another?  I seem to recall reading that somewhere.
