seems like an increase in the number in the number of bear sightings . is that because there are more people in park at this time of year or are the bears becoming more acustomed to people ?  jim2

Thank you BBH, for that great link of information. Basically the reason of the sightings is because of this fantastic Mega-Corridor that has been establish transboundary ( Mexico- U.S.A. ) or Big Bend-El Carmen.

The success of this project is due in big part to Cemex's long term commitment to preserving the wildlife, but MOST important to the responsability of great ranchers who have commited to " Rewilding " the Sierras. What your seeing there (BiBe) is the results of these great endeavours.

Part of what is being explained in this book: The Call of The Mountains by Patricio Roblesgil. It is so revealing.
Stay thirsty, my friends.

Yes, Homero it is good to see the increased number of sightings.  It shows that all of the efforts are, in fact, paying off.

A great job of wildlife conservationa and preservation on both sides of the Rio Bravo del Norte!
