OK so here's the hikes that I have planned for next week.  I still have a few days open, so if you have any suggestions let me know.  We will be in the park for 9 days.

Boquillas Canyon Area - 2 days hiking in and around Boquillas Canyon and the numerous Slot canyons.  Also will be hiking north a bit into the Dead Horse Mnts.

Banta Shut-In - Will be parking at Roys Peak area, and will cross country hike to Banta Shut-In.  Will spend 1-2 days here.

South Rim - Will be doing the rim as a day hike

Mariscal Canyon - Exploring the Mariscal Canyon area.

Pine Canyon to Lost Mine - Will take Pine Canyon, hike up to the Lost Mine Trail and then down to the Lost Mine parking lot.

Comments or suggestions?  Thanks!

Might also summit Casa Grande again.  I did it last year, and had a good time.  It all depends on if someone here gives me another suggestion or not.   8)

You may have been there already, but Terlingua Abaja to Bruja Canyon & back would make a nice full day.

When you go to Banta Shut In via Roys Peak Vista - take the drainage downhill through the 2 springs to Tornillo Creek, don't bushwacke across the desert hills - it's much easier hiking and more interesting to take the drainage - just head downhill from the dry arroyo crossing before you get to the Roys Peak Vista campsite.   Try not to block the campsite with vehicles as someone might have it reserved.   Sounds like a great trip plan... Also - If you want to earn a Gold Star (or redeem yourself from prior youthfull sins),  plan to pick up and pack out a trashbag full of litter from Tornillo Creek and Banta Shut In.   Look under the cliff overhang on the far side of Tornillo Creek right where the cutoff drainage from Roys Peak enters it for litter left by illegal aliens.  You might also find some at the Shut In or in the drainage of Tornillo along the way.   Mexican Cigar packages, cans of Salmon, old clothes (mens size 28-32), shoes, big plastic Fresca bottles, etc.   I "cleaned" this area a couple years ago so anything you find is since then..  TWWG
