Thanks for posting. The comments on the blog are spot on. We were in Big Bend this past Christmas and ate Christmas dinner at the lodge restaurant. It was truly a meal fit for a king and rivalled that of any great restaurant.

Have no problem with service or food at Chisos Lodge, had this person driven to the Starlight in Terlingua he would not have been disappointed.
Visiting BB since 1966, nothing like being lost and finding heaven.

For sure.  Starlight is equally good.

I wonder if there has been any improvement in the breakfast? We usually eat at the lodge on the morning before going out on our backpack and I never have seen a worse buffet than the one they have. The potatoes are the frozen ones and are almost always rock hard and cold. I think I ordered off the menu last time and they just got some of the potatoes from the buffet. The scrambled eggs are usually overcooked. They don't have tortillas and the salsa tastes like bland tomato sauce.
