The Big Bend Guide

Found this new site with lots of pages on things to do around the park, not a lot of detail but many nice pictures.  Would be a good additional link to send folks just beginning to think about a trip to the park.
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

The Hoo Doo trail looks like fun, I had not heard of this before.
I stayed at Ten Bits Ranch once, cool place, the surrounding rock formations make a great echo chamber. It rained hard one night the next morning the road was a slick muddy mess, needed 4wd to make it to pavement, The road is mostly bentonite ,rock like when dry, sticky, slick, thick, heavy, when wet. The mud completely filled the wheel wells, and covered the bottom of the truck, as it dried big chunks would fall off.

That IS an impressive site! The photos are excellent. A copyright statement at the very bottom of the site seems to indicate the photos are Brower’s.
