Yeah, and driving to Glacier National Park is short once you're in Kalispell.

Christmas Mountains are on my short list for the park -- perhaps this winter, after the Mesa.

I was thinking the same thing while reading the article...  detailed pictures showing routes taken would sure be helpful.  It's not like by publishing detailed pics that thousands of hikers are going to show up tomorrow and hike the Christmas Mountains or anything.

Nothing wrong going without prior guidance and finding your own way in/up. A 'voyage of discovery' as it were. It's amazing what you find/experience when you don't rely on guidebooks or functional equivalents of same.
