Excellent!  The visibility looked like it was quite good as well and the rains have greened things up.

Yes, it was nice and clear this morning on the hike up. By the time I was on my way back down it had clouded up and remains that way as of now. Another good chance of rain this evening. The rains have indeed greened everything up and lots of flowers are in bloom again.

Vernon Jordan? Haven't heard that name since my days in the District of Calamity.

Actually, we can take Vernon one step further, thanks to the twin miracles of the Internet and Photoshop.

David, I just pulled up weather via NWS and looks like you guys have been getting wet. All your photos look beautiful, just afternoon showers or what? Undertaker

PS: I assume you are fueling in BB, how are prices for diesel?
Visiting BB since 1966, nothing like being lost and finding heaven.

Yes, we have had afternoon showers as of late. Nothing big lately, just enough to get things really green and blooming. The park looks fabulous right now.

As far as diesel....haven't really noticed as I use unleaded. Unleaded is $3.24 at PJ and $3.15 at the Study Butte Mall. Will post you the diesel price in a day or so.
