I can do that, though it is stating the obvious, as Flcikr's Terms of Use state how copyright is handled according to what rights the user sets on each photo.

While that may be true, it is not clear to the average Bender. I believe you will get more entries from this crowd if you explicitly explain what you intend to do with the entries.

I put a copyright statement in the contest rules. And let me just be clear, we are not out to steal people's photos or content.  Everything will be credted to the original author.  In fact, we hope to honor them!

Also, people should choose the copyright from Flickr that fits their situation. It is up to the Flickr user to set the copyright of their own photos.

Changing the subject, check out the prizes.  First prize is worth more than $1,000.  Not bad for a photo!
