Got a chance my last day in Big Bend to break out the DSLR and panorama gear and get some shots of Mule Ears and Santa Elena Canyon.
Here they are..

Where'd you take the Santa Elena shot from?  RR West somewhere?  Very nice panos!

About 100 yards east from the Santa Elena Overlook.
Thanks!

Well done Lance. Still can't wait to hear more about the full time you put in the park that week! Videos on Elephant Tusk are amazing. I bet this trip had to rate a top 5 at least!

Thanks guys!  Reposted the first image I took with one that had slightly better lighting.  I thought the sunset that day was going to be a dud since the clouds were out, but there was around two minutes of light that peeked through before the sun set behind Mesa de Anguila.  Also, this particular shot was bracketed on a tripod using mirror lockup for each bracket with an aperture of F13.  Came out super-sharp.  It also helped to actually compose the shot an hour beforehand, imagine that!  Anyhow, I was happy with the results.

Here's the full screen version.

Wow Lance, that is the best shot of Mule Ears that I have ever seen. Bar none. Love how I can zoom in on any image as well, and see great detail! So, when is the summit attempt for both peaks?

Made it up to the head of Mule Ears a couple of weeks ago and took some more panoramas.
Pretty cool spot in the park.  Also found the Mule Ears cave and eyes which makes up the Mule Ears Troll.
Trap Spring and Mule Ear Spring were flowing slightly.
