No fair Alpine Joe, you live in the West Texas Trans Pecos Big Bend Region, you probably saw the pictures posted this morning, hoped in the car/truck, and headed out to verify the pictures.   8)

Are you sure #1 is not Fort Davis?  I could swear that it is....  I was kinda "following the road" - figured that this was on the way type of pics.  Are you sure #2 is NOT Fort Davis???  Figured that was a giveaway.

When were you @ Cibolo Muse?

Yes my friend, I am sure..... :)

I was at Cibolo last Oct with the study tour I was on....neat place, they did a great job restoring the Fort! Lots of historical memorabilia and antiques too. You can actually climb through to the top of the tower via this lil trap door thingy and some rickety stairs!
The chapel is beautiful too, very tiny, but lovely! :D

Y'all need to come to StudyButte Tuesday night for fireworks...we will probably be shooting around $800 worth off....just past the Study Butte Mall on the left as you are leaving the park. Has been a traditon for some years.  Last year a motar blew up in the tube...was surprised how fast my mustache grew back...sight and hearing took a bit longer :D

The book sign in #1 gave it away - Front Street Books has a store in Marathon in addition to the one in Alpine.

And if you look at the background in #2, you can see it's not Fort Davis - Fort Stockton: The Fort
