Nope.  Here's the second pic:

I guess it's my turn.  Where am I?

Here's another hint:  Lots of people who come to Big Bend spend a minute or two in their vehicles just a few yards from the trailhead of this short but seldom-visited trail.

Burro Spring?

Nope.  Some people, after spending their obligatory minute or two, will also stop just down the road and go inside where they can visit with some very friendly and informative folks.

Persimmon Gap Draw?

That'd be the place!  I wish we had been able to spend a little more time on that hike back in 11/2005.  As it was, we were rapidly running out of daylight with a windstorm moving in.  Supposedly the oldest exposed rocks in the park are located towards the end of this hike.  I didn't have any luck finding the "unmaintained" trail that bypassed the first dry waterfall/pouroff, which didn't help.

Yep.  Perhaps one of the most photographed signs in BIBE - next to the entrance sign at Persimmon Gap.  I don't think I've ever stopped to take a pic on the way in from Study Butte.  Have to do that next time.

Actually, from what I understand, the bear sign there is legit as it is probably the most common place to see bears.  I believe that the sign was put there by the efforts and money of the fine and outstanding BBNHA.

This one is probably very easy for anyone who remembers these distinct features.

So, where am I?

River Road east, the calcite formations above and to the right of the road (as you're traveling west)?

Geesshh... 7 minutes for a response. What took so long? :D

Yep, that's right. It's a very interesting feature, one that will probably stick in your memory if you've driven that stretch of road.
