13 this morning in Dallas, currently 27 on the back patio. Enough sun in getting through the clouds to put a dent into the sheet of ice on the driveway, but not so much the street. May be stuck here for another day or so.

I can only imagine how bad Dallas is with snowy weather.  I dread driving there in perfectly clear, dry weather.

wet will be wetter, hot will be hotter, cold will be colder, snow will be deeper, drought will be longer, storms will be stronger

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Yep, It seems like not much is really different though. The climate has always changed ever since the earth had a climate. That's the nature of our climate - it is dynamic.

And people have always kinda believed what they wanted to believe. Some are informed more by common sense. Others are gullible dupes of the ruling class.

I don't consider myself informed as much as wise. I can identify a scam when I see one. Some things are just too obvious. (politics and science by their nature cannot fuse to produce truth)

And you're right, I'll let it die here, but I doubt seriously that you can resist getting in the last word, eh?

Unfortunately it isn't snow, it's solid ice.  There is about a 2 inch thick layer on my street (I live just west of Dallas).  The schools have been closed since Tuesday and they are all closed again tomorrow.  More snow is expected tomorrow night.  I know Ok gets bad ice storms as well, so you probably can sympathize.  It will probably be quite a while before the NFL decides we are worthy to host a super bowl again!

Here's a few pictures from around my neighborhood:

Yes Virginia, even Land Rovers can get stuck!

Yes, there is a road underneath that snow!

Granted, these are drifts, but I think you can imagine how bad the east/west roads are up here.

The weathermen reported today that with all this snow, it only amounted to about 2/10 of an inch of rain !

It was a very dry/powdery snow.  Luckily, no ice fell before the snow came in.

I guess it's all relative.  Here's a shot by a friend who lives near Lake Placid where it was -35 F yesterday.  The difference being they are set up for this kind of cold.  I would surely die!

So far only flurries north of Study Butte, but Alpine has lots of snow:

Sure do appreciate Mike Perry reporting on what's vital to know in weather like this!
