4x4 BBRSP Trip Report (part 1)
« on: January 09, 2019, 03:45:57 PM »
I spent a week in and around Big Bend Ranch State Park from December 26th - 31st.
I've posted the first couple of days on another website I write for. (I'm no author, just some sort of blogger type person)
In the post I talk about a private ranch north of the park, our foray down Botella trail (I really loved it) and driving to Nowhere, then back in the dusk.
The rest of the story, when published will include the Javelin Trail (Rancherias Loop), fun at Ft. Leaton and our last epic day in the NW side of the park on the Cienega Gorge Loop and the hunt for Casa Ramon.

I just want to say that the help from Ranger Tim, Mr. & Mrs. Dotter and the other female ranger who's name I can't remember for the life of me, helped make this trip not only possible, but enjoyable and a safe one!  With everyone's info we were a lot better prepared camping and wheeling.   Especially since it was so darn busy during the shutdown.
If I can provide any more details as the story progresses, please let me know, I'll be glad to elaborate.

Here's the story:

Thanks for the public report Willy! I'm glad y'all had a great time in our park!
