Sure doesn't sound like a great place to visit in late May...  I thought all Texans went to Colo after May 1st?   :icon_wink:

Have you considered driving a bit further west to the Guadalupe Mountains?  A bit higher, and should have a bit cooler weather.

The only reason BBRSP was being considered was the pooch friendly aspect. Once I determined it would be far too hot I found a doggysitter and will be heading to the Chisos.
