I'm assuming someone will ask about the current status of the Chinatis?

"I'm assuming someone will ask about the current status of the Chinatis?"

Not really the venue for that question as this series of meetings is specifically about BBRSP. You'd do better to inquire with your legislative representative regarding funding of TPWD. We'd love to open CMSNA, but without resources we have no infrastructure and staff.

Interesting.  Last I heard, the issue was negotiating access easements.  But the issue is more one of budget constraints?  Is there somewhere a report you're aware of that sets out what the budget ask would be to be able to add the Chinatis to BBRSP?

Maybe I answered my own question, sort of:

https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/chinati-mountains

Says public use plan would be completed in 2018; anyone know if that has happened?

For starters, I am neither a superintendent nor administrator, so I cannot really speak to any real detail about CMSNA. There were a series of public use plan (PUP) meetings last year where various plans were presented to the public, but they were not received well by rancher owners in Marfa or Presidio. I have my hands pretty full with BBRSP, so I really don't have much more to offer on the future of Chinati.

As I mentioned earlier, the current spate of meetings are specific to the present and future of BBRSP, so if you have something to contribute regarding how the park does or does not meet your needs, this week is your chance for your voice to be heard.
