Thanksgiving camping

How is camping during thanksgiving? If I were to arrive on Thurs would i be able to find a spot?

thanksgiving is one of the busy times. I know for sure the lodge will be full, and most of the basin camp ground might be full. but im sure you can grab a site in the basin camp ground. The Rio Grande Village camp ground and the Cotton wood area rarely fill up at any time of the year, but those are on the south west and south east sides of the park and will add drive time to your destination.

there are several back country car camp sites that are not that far off the main road
