Congrats to all! Those are excellent pictures! :)

on the low turnout, thinking that the voting thing going live sometime around Thanksgiving may have played into it. For some reason I thought we got on this a bit earlier last year?
We did, and we even swore we'd start earlier this year.

WOW! 2010 is going to be a great year. Each month you can look at a fantastic image of Bibe! Can't wait to get my calendar!
Thanks to all the great photographers for this treasure.
Before you can order your calendar(s), Vista Grande will need high-resolution versions of all the winning photographs (along with implicit permission to print them, of course). He'll be along shortly to provide details, but in the meantime, all of you winning photographers go track down the high-res versions!

yeah, I'm really happy with the winners.  I think they are all well deserved and will make an awesome calendar.  And, I'm really glad a loser from last year was back and made the cut!   :eusa_dance:

Congratulations to all the contributors and nominees!

maybe people just didn't vote thinking they wouldn't buy a calendar and had no dog in the hunt?

Richard, I hope after voting closes you're not going to tell us that out of 1443 members that 40 voted....if so, I think that's a real shame.  :eusa_snooty:
Nah, it'll be at least 58. :icon_rolleyes:

Update: final number of voters was 59.

P.S. The full membership roll (which includes non-activated accounts and a couple tagged for deletion) numbers 1498. Of those, 200 have never logged in and another 200 or so haven't been online in two years. In the past 7 days, 204 members have been online, but only 59 voted. :eusa_naughty:

Hey Richard and David,
any idea of how many voted last year?  And how many calendars were ordered?
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

Actually it looks like we finished the 7 day voting period for the 2009 calendar on 12/3/08, so technically we did start earlier this year. :icon_rolleyes:

At least 66 voted last year, as that's how many votes the #1 picture received. I think VG said somewhere that at least 60 calendars were ordered, but I don't know if that was the final tally.

I'll have to get a calendar this year.  I guess I was out of the loop last year.

There will be an announcement whenever the calendar is ready for ordering. Before that happens, Vista Grande will have to get all of the high-resolution versions of the winning photos, then get them in the right format for the calendar. Once the calendar is complete and uploaded to whichever publishing site he chooses to use, a link will be posted and you can order away!

I was out of town for the whole voting period, but I will have to order a calendar anyway -  :willynilly:  It will be a good year-long memory of my 2009 Christmas, even if I don't get to see all the sites personally!!!
I'm no longer a BiBe virgin - already thinking about my next trip

I'm still waiting on a pic from one of the winners before I can get the calendar ready for sale.   If I don't get it tonight, I'll just have to go with what we got as time is running out!  I will have the calendar ready no later than this Sunday night for ordering!

thanks for your patience!

David
