A lot of years ago, I was setting up a small satellite office for my employer.  We needed a typewriter (that'll give you a hint as to how long ago), so I bought a small one on my personal credit card.  Now this was a small town, and the office supply store was also a jewelry store.  It took all my attaboys to convince my wife that it was for a typewriter - not jewelry.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!  (The company didn't question it on my expense report.)
