BBC 2009 Photo Calendar Nominations
« on: March 26, 2008, 02:59:57 PM »
Post your suggested photos for the BBC 2009 Calendar here! Nominate as many as you want and we'll figure out how to vote on the top 13 (12 months plus a cover) later.

I'll start with TJ's sunset over Blue Creek Canyon

All very beautiful so far!  I was wondering if we want to match the photos with the month they were taken?

Way too complicated, IMO.  I'd say let's concentrate on getting 13 pics.  Besides, how many July pics can there be?

I've been to BIBE in July x 3.  Though I agree, let's just get 13 pics selected, then decide on the order later.  Maybe a snow pic would be appropriate for Dec/Jan.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Earlier today I saw this thread and thought "we have so much more to offer here" Viper's "Once in a lifetime shot" came to mind first. I mean, how many photo collage's of Big Bend do you see with wildlife other that the Javelina with his nose in the curly fries' bag?

And yes, the cultural aspect certainly plays a big part of the Big Bend experience. I, for one will be searching through our archives for the next few days...

BUT....tj's winner is certainly the cover....that shot just makes my heart sink! :eusa_clap:

Homero: I can't speak for the calendar selection process as that will be in Richard and David's hands, but you are always welcome to post as many photos as you wish from your area on the site below, and they will also be considered for the competition which ends 4-4-08 which includes Big Bend, and AREA, Terlingua Ranch and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Gracias!
