Congrats to the winners!!!

Are there BBC t-shirts available? Might be a cool fund raiser. While we are at it, are there enough good photos to have our own Big Bend Calendar?

Toughest one for me was the photo... congrats out of a VERY competitive field!!  Very deserving winner.

And the other posts... there is probably more BIBE infor available here than just about the rest of the web put together!
Funny... I have a story about that...

Sweet!  I've never won anything in my life (except for that beer drinking contest in elementary school but that's another story).

Seriously, I am surprised I was chosen for something considering the stiff competition.  So much good stuff on the board!

A mention in my mini-profile is more than enough reward.

Randell...

Other than a great experience in a great place well told, your post just had nothing going for it!

Seriously there have been a lot great and creative posts and threads since BBC started, but the reality of going into the wilderness no matter the conditions, then sharing it with our little group here is something very special.

Thanks.
Funny... I have a story about that...

Of course there are t-shirts!  See http://www.cafepress.com/virtualbigbend

A calendar would be no problem, as long as someone is willing to put in a little work in setting it up.

By the way, let's not forget this is marking the 2nd anniversary of Big Bend Chat.

here's the very first thread ever:

http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/big-bend-national-park-qa/yippee-t2.0.html

The official launch:  when the first post, other than me, was received by the server from a registered user:

Whose the very first poster? none other than BigBendHiker himself:

posted on December 11, 2005, 07:14:20 pm

http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/index.php/topic,2.msg5.html#msg5

and here is the first "real" thread on BBC:

Congrats to the winners! :eusa_clap: Very well deserved!

It's been alot of fun these past 2 years. Alot has changed since that first post. We didn't have avatars yet and CG thought I was a guy, a few of us thought Shane was a chick, but BBH has always been thought of as the consummate gentleman of the board....

Cheers to us all!  :kaos-cactus06:

Anyone notice this is much better than anything in the 2008 calendar?

Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones): If it ain't, it'll do till the mess gets here.
