The time is near.  At approximately 10 or 11 am this morning, I'll be disabling this board.  You will not be able to post anything to the board at that time until no earlier than 2pm this afternoon.  If all goes well, the new board should be up and running at that time.  However, it is possible there will be unforeseen events that could cause the board to be down until tomorrow morning......

Some things you should know.....

1. Your bookmarks will likely NOT transfer.  I suggest you take note of your bookmarks so you can later add them to your bookmarks in the new board.  The good news is, for a limited amount of time, you will be able to access the current board until you can get everything like you like it again from your old profile, bookmarks, etc.

2. Your avatars may not be there after the transfer.  To avoid losing the avatar, take note of how/where you have the avatar and you can upload it to the new board once it is live.   ALL images and avatars hosted on BigBendGallery.com WILL NOT be affected!  All images will still be there.  

3. Attachments may not transfer.  If there are any attachments to any posts on the old board you don't want to lose, save them to your harddrive to avoid them getting lost.

Again, the old board will be accessible (but not participative ) for a limited time after the new board becomes active.  This should allow you to get everything you need set up into the new board.

I hope you all like the new board, I think you will.  Please be patient while you learn the new board and how it works. It is a little bit different but should be easy to use.  The new profile section has a ton of different settings for you.  

While I'm switching over into the new board, take the time to go visit the dummy board at www.fullmoon.us so  you can get familiar with the controls.

Well, that's about it.  OK, I'm goin' in.  If I'm not back in 24 hours, call in the Texas Rangers!!

One "feature" that stands out is that avatars are force-fit to 80x80, so if your avatar is bigger in either dimension, it'll get squished.  Or at least that's how it looks from this PC...

 I have seem to be left out on many issues, i have been working hard and for starters , i Lost all my Bookmarks, eventhough i was advised, i still can't figure out many of the functions, forget about waking in  i am trying to figure out the board functions...i need directions...and time.

How can I help you Homero?  I can't do anything technical, but if you need help navigating, let me know.  Fortunately my bookmarks are Firefox bookmarks so they remain in tact.

Being a number two pencil and yellow pad type of person, I will try to figure out how to repost avatar, great job, like the new layout, hope I can figure out how to repost, worse comes to worse will call young computer son just so I can here him say "Jesus Dad". Can't wait.

 Hi Guys;

   What's with the STAR TREATMENT ? ...i see we now have stars in various colors and numbers, per say:
* Shane has 5 red stars and his name , when he is online is reddish.
* RichardM, has five green stars and just now (8:50 am) have changed to blue stars
* BBH, has 5 red stars?, his name is also reddish. I believe.
* CG, has 6 orange stars
* Me, i have 5 yellow stars.

 I still don't get it

It's like Kindergarten all over again.  The teacher gives you stars based on what you do and whether she/he likes you.  You've got gold stars Homero, so you must be the teachers pet.
