Jeff, is your app up to date?  Since I had the developers update the plugin, there hasn't been any other problems.

Using V1.9. According to App Store, it is up to date.

The only time I get that error is when I try to view the participated tab.  I'll check the plugin again, but it should be up to date.

I'm still getting the error but it seems to go away when I access all posts, not just unread.
