Joining BBC at a higher level

Greetings, and thanks for this great board.

I'm hardly more than a casual user, but I do appreciate BBC and would like to join at the paid level.

WhataI have to do?

Go to the home page (http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/index.php) and scroll down to the Become a Golden Eagle Subscriber section. Enter your BBC username in the box and click the Subscribe button. It helps if you already have a PayPal account set up, preferably for the same email account as used to set up your BBC account. If you just can't bring yourself to use PayPal, contact me and I can give you the cash/check via snail mail info.

Maybe because I am already a memebr, but the "become a member" box is not displayed on the home page, at least not that I can find.

My problem is a little different.  You charge my credit card $50 every January (I also don't have Pay Pal) and this works just fine.  But since I replaced that card with another, I don't see how to give you my new number.

I'm not sure about whether the subscription box should be visible if you're already subscribed. Maybe I can test that out when I'm not too busy. :eusa_think:

Credit card payments are processed through Paypal. I never see any credit card information. Are you sure it didn't create an account for you when you first subscribed? When anyone signs up to be a Golden Eagle, Paypal automatically creates a recurring payment. You can then log back in to Paypal (assuming you have the account info) and disable/delete the automatic recurring payment, or you can contact me and I can do it from my end. Paypal accounts are tied to email addresses, so you might be able to try logging in and seeing if it will let you reset your password. It it does, you might be able to switch credit cards. If not, I can cancel the automatic payment and you can re-subscribe when your subscription expires.

Well, OK.  I went PayPal and added my new card.  They said that:

a) I didn't have a card on file with them already (so I added my new card) and

b) that they don't show any payment histrory through PayPal.

Hmmmm

Interesting. Mine shows your last payment going through on January 21, 2012.
