I've installed live chat, so now you can chat live with your favorite bbc friends...it's easy, just click on the "Live Chat" button in the main menu above....enjoy

alright, can yall try it again please?

I've just retested it in Firefox and IE and I don't get an error.....I have changed a couple of things and I want to see if it worked or not.

KEEP IN MIND:  do a "ctrl-alt-refresh" to pull the latest code from the SERVER instead of your CACHE

the digital certificate error you guys are getting is not keeping you from entering the chat room.  It is just letting you know that the IRC (Internet Relay Chat, very old school technology) script being used does not have a digitally signed script.  You can allow this script for just this site in your browser and/or anti-virus software....

and, because this is an IRC, you can access the live chat using any IRC client.  There are several out there, but these are my personal favorite:

ClicksandWhistles for PC Desktop

ChatZilla for Firefox

Java Mobile IRC Client for your Mobile Device, like your blackberry ;-)

the information you will need:

server: irc.mibbit.net
channel: BigBendChat

Using this information, you can access the chat from any IRC client software, either desktop, stand-alone, mobile, or browser based, your choice.

By clicking on the CHAT link above, you, in fact, are access the IRC network through a Browser based IRC client that is working in conjunction with this chat forum.  It is meant to be an easy way to access live chat.  Your username is automatically accepted into the chat client.  Unfortunately, your anti-virus and/or browser is alerting you to a security violation.  Unless you don't trust it, just accept it and move on.
