since others have registered without a problem, I have to assume the system is working.  Try checking your spam folder.  if not there, i'll have to manually activate it....

well, apparently, there were 4 members who registered on the test board and didn't activate their accounts...I went ahead and activated all of them and had an email sent also, including you, Doc. :)

Dear Members,

Please be advised the new board will be active Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007.  

Planned Schedule:

The board will shut down, temporarily, Tuesday, Sept. 4, late in the morning, around noon. The board will be inaccessible during the switchover.  I will post progress notes as the day progresses on the main page, so I can keep you informed of the changes.

I do not expect any major glitches during the change over, although, these are computers we are dealing with here.  After the shutdown, the database will be immediately converted to the new site.  Once the database has been transferred, I will begin testing the new site for major problems.  I expect this will be a short duration, but be aware the site may be down for the entire day on Tuesday.  By Wednesday morning, the new site should be up and running.

It will be impossible to test everything on the new site before it goes live.  Please be patient while you get used to the new user interface and we mill out some unexpected bugs.   Remember, you should not have to re-register on the new site.  All memberships, forums, and posts should transfer to the new system.  You'll log into the new system just as you would on the old one.  

If you haven't done so yet, I advise you to check out the test forum I have set you up on to get started learning the new interface.  ( http://www.fullmoon.us ) There are many exciting new features awaiting us next week.  I also have a couple of other ideas to add to our community that will be integrated into the new site.  You'll learn more about those over the coming weeks.

Again, I hope you enjoy the new system and let's have a toast for a smooth transition.
