For Ay Chi's latest trip report post, I see about six pages worth of blank space after his last image and before the "Last edit: ... by RichardM" line. My guess is it's allocating the height of the post based on the unresized image heights.
I don't see it in my firefox or my explorer  :eusa_think:
I'm in a training class as opposed to using my regular PCs. I've got IE 6.0 here and Netscape 8.1 (don't ask...I have no idea why the sysadmin chose those two). Both browsers add the extra space, only Netscape really has problems with it and gets confused. I'll check it from my work and home PCs later today.

I've seen this on IE 6.0 and 7.0
I installed FireFox here and it works fine. Appears to only be an issue with the older IE/Netscape versions.

On my work PC running IE 7.0 it shows about 2.5 pages of blank space.

Richardm,

I think you are correct that it is related to the photo resizing. That is when it started.

FYI here's what I see for "the most popular topic in the last 24 hours" this morning:

Sorry, it's a locked board, you can't read this topic

I'm logged in, so don't quite understand why I would be seeing this...

no big deal, just FYI

Probably just a database glitch where it referred to a post in the old Politics forum or something.

Another reminder on how to avoid having lots of tags showing up in your posts: AVOID HAVING TWO SPACES BETWEEN WORDS, SENTENCES, ETC. The board's software has trouble parsing extra spaces and often replaces one of the spaces with , which clutters up your post and annoys the Moderator. :icon_rolleyes:

I can't preview my posts since the new look arrived. I've tried the alt+p on different computers
and I either get a drop down menu unrelated to the board or I get nothing at all. I never get it right the first time so all my posts will have edits from now on unless you bring back the preview button. Or...if someone can help me determine what I'm doing wrong. :crossedfingers:

Well, I guess it helps my ego.

It's going to make my first ever trip report a little slow and messy. It was most likely going to be that way any way, but now I have an excuse.

sorry, FM....since I've changed the look, the preview button has not worked.  I know what the problem is, I just haven't had the chance or thought to fix it.   I'll see if I can get on it this week!

thanks, for reminding me....
