How about in the Big Bend Community section, adding a "Classifieds" board?  Then people could buy, sell, or trade gear or anything else they have.

I have started with the Google Maps link at the top of the pages.  This is a rudimentary solution to what you are speaking of.  I hope to expand on this feature soon as I think it is important to the board.

I like the links thread. I'm an avid paddler and most paddling sites have links pages and I love to peruse them. The water availability feature would be awesome.
