problems opening attachments
« on: November 28, 2011, 09:45:48 PM »
Is anyone else having problems when trying to download an attachment that has been posted? When I click on an attachment link using Firefox, it says the object is an "application/octet-stream" instead of whatever file type the file is supposed to be.

It downloads but does not preserve the file type as *.txt.  I would have to rename the file for it to be recognized.

Chrome15 & IE9 work ok for me in Windoze 7 Home Premium 64bit, but Firefox8 just refuses to cooperate. Al's trick of renaming the file works, so at least the data isn't corrupted. Weird, and very annoying.
