Tips and Tricks
« on: September 13, 2007, 10:15:19 PM »
I thought I would share some new and cool little gadgets you can on this board....here's a few to get you started:

1. Did you know you can change your own Avatar name?  Simply go to your profile and click on the left menu at Forum Profile Information.  Go down to the bottom, just above the signature field and enter your own personal avatar name.

2. Did you know you can collapse the header above (where your avatar picture is) by clicking on the "-" sign in the top right hand corner next to the date?  If you want to reopen it, just click on the "+" sign.  This can also be done anywhere you see the "-" or "+" sign on the site.

3. Did you know you can change the direction of posts in the thread?  What do I mean?  Simply go to your profile and click on the "Look and Layout Preferences" link in the left hand menu.  There you can tick mark or untick mark "Show most recent posts at the top."  It takes a  little getting used to but works really well when you're trying to follow a thread, post by post.

4. Did you know you can have the ads removed from the site when you log in?  Simply click on the "subscribe" button on the top right hand side above the date. (sorry, had to throw that one in ;) )

more tips to come...if you've found a cool tip that hasn't been shared here yet...post it here!

I don't have a field above the sig line to do that. There is however, a field called "Personal Text" that I tried to put my Colima Warbler name in and is shows below the avatar. Perhaps the title thingy for above the avatar is only available to you? I guess it doesn't really matter though.....Oh, and YES, you are a DomGod!!!
