What a terrible loss.  His photography and BB experience was astounding and uplifting.  God bless and keep you my fellow Aggie.  We lost a good one.  This photo was one of my favs.

Thanks for letting us know, Casa.

He'll be missed.  I, too, enjoyed reading his comments and, of course, his photography.

He did take some great photos, he must have had a really good camera!

Sorry.

I'm hoping to make him chuckle where he is now by bringing up that old standard line that made us all cringe and smile at the same time.
I think I met TJ in the park more than I have any other member of this board. Sometimes planned and a few times just happenstance. Regardless
it was always a very pleasant event for me. I miss both his in person and online friendship. Certainly the absence of all his future great photographs
is a void that all future lovers of Big Bend will not know exists nor what they are missing, but we will. My condolences to all of us here and to his family.
Once again a young man taken from life way too soon.

TJ doing what he loved.

Very sad to hear this. TJ was a good man. I fist met him in about 2004 in a photography forum. Then met him on BBC. First outing in Big Bend with TJ was in 2007. We hiked out to Indian head where he taught me some photography stuff.

I got these shots of him while he was planning a few shots. (03/13/2007)

Wow.  I only knew TJ through his photography.  I was selfishly disappointed when I didn't see any of his photos nominated for this year's calendar.  A calendar of nothing but TJ's work would be superb.

I don't know how to process this. I knew he was battling something (from FB) but I didn't know what. I never met TJ but he was and will forever be an inspiration to me. He shared his knowledge about night photography with anyone that was interested in it. More importantly though, he was, by all accounts a family man. I feel bad for his wife and his boys. Why do the good people have to go too soon???

Prayers for his family. This is truly a huge hole in their lives. And ours.

Just saw a notification on Facebook about this. I mostly lurk on here but he and I followed each other on Instagram and I enjoyed his work. RIP.
