I want to let you know, we are in the process of moving the site and the site's database to a new server.  In order to maintain the integrity of the database, and ensure the information in the database is current and nothing gets lost, we will have to shut the site down for a brief amount of time.  This may take up to 24 hours for this to occur, perhaps a bit longer. 

You will not be able to post or read anything until the move is completed.  I apologize for the inconvenience, but it is a necessary process.   This move should improve the occasional database connection losses and various other strange happening on the site.

Good to see the site is back up.  It's one of my most visited bookmarks.

One item appears to be broken... we are just seeing a red 'x' instead of our accomplishments like doing the OML.  I'm using IE 8 and Win7 Ultimate 64 bit if that matters.  I cleared my cookies and cache, no change.

Update:  the accomplishments display properly when viewing with Google Chrome.

Not positive, but "Show unread posts since last visit" may not be working??

That one was never very reliable on the old host site. Lots of times if I switched machines it'd get cleared out. That's where Recent Posts comes in handy.

Thank you Richard and David for continuing to make this a sound and great site. The work you constantly do in the background to keep it all running smoothly is amazing and should be enough reason for people to become Golden Eagle subscribers! Hint, hint.

I frequent a few different sites and this is by far the best maintained.  Richard, thanks for all your diligence and your uncanny ability to dredge up old threads and apply them to newer threads.  David, your overall maintenace/supervision of this site is VERY much appreciated.  I know you guys put in way more time and effort on this than any of us realize--we appreciate it!!

RichardM: It looks like some of the thumbnails that were generated when the images were uploaded didn't get copied over.

For example, one of quicksilver's images:

The thumbnail per the 'img source' is http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/gallery/thumb_29_21_05_10_5_13_36.jpg

The thumbnail version isn't there.

However, for one of the thumbnails that does show up, I can load the thumbnail directly from the 'img source'.  For example, a thumbnail from one of my images: http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/gallery/thumb_29_05_01_10_12_17_55.jpg
