Virtual Big Bend
« on: July 08, 2011, 03:20:55 PM »
I have noticed that, when trying to open a topic, I am sometimes taken directly to the Virtual Big Bend home page.  Not often--maybe 10% of the time.  Anybody else experience this?
Wake me when it's time to go.

Kind of odd, but it may be because you inadvertently clicked on the Page Curl link at the upper left hand corner of the screen.

No.  It's happened too many times for that.

WEll, I'm at a loss.   Seems impossible to happen if not for that reason.  Interested to know if others are having the same problem.

in a round about way it happens to me sometime, but its usually because of the page flap not folding back up and out of the way fast enough before i click on something, maybe there is an overlap in the coding or something with the page flap....

Try opening the new topics in a new tab or window (control-click). It probably won't make the problem go away, but at least you could see if it does it repeatedly for the same page view (instead of going back to the previous page, which might force a reload of the page).

In my previous job as a software engineer, this would be called "let's see if the problem is repeatable". May or may not help us debug anything, but it's a start.
