Alternatives to Leukotape?
« on: October 03, 2018, 12:00:00 PM »
I am leaving tonight at midnight for my yearly Big Bend hiking trip and my roll of Leukotape has disappeared. It is too late in the game to order another from Amazon and no one in The Beaumont, TX area has it in stock. Iíve seen lots of other brands out there (BSN, KT tape, etc.) that are readily available. Does anyone have any recommendation on an alternative to Leukotape? Mole skin and band aids are a non starter for me and cause more problems than they resolve.

Don't know of any alternatives, but you might try stopping at a medical supply store in Houston on your way.

Duct tape is a better solution than mole skin ever was. Stays put. Proactive application is 100% effective.

What about Gaffer's tape? Its adhesive is much less likely to leave residue. The non-sticky side is not as slippery as duct tape, but not sure how much difference that makes.

Duct tape leaves residue, but it's easily removed with a little rubbing alcohol. It's cheap, available and works. The benefit is the slippery side.

Duct Tape.  Leave it on the entire time till it comes off in your sock.
For 2 years the Fake News Media, Obama's FBI, CIA & DOJ, and Swamp dwelling Politicians COLLUDED, Illegally Spied, and LIED to America about POTUS in order to overturn an election

All the while demanding censorship and removal of opposition Conservative "hate speech" voices.  Globalists Hate Freedom

Can you find any Kinesio-Tex Tape?  I have good luck with it especially if you can get it on a clean foot.  Doesn't stick quite as well as Leukotape but breathes a bit better.  I have never had much luck with duct tape staying stuck on.

Iíll look for that, but most of what Iíve found around here looks like itís for stabilizing elbows and knees and what not. The Leukotape was life changing last year, but it grew legs and absconded. Iíll probably find it in a really strange, random place in a couple of years.

Off the wall thought.  Amazon has those local pickup places now.  You might be able to order some with Amazon Prime Now, have it delivered to one of those lockboxes somewhere in Houston along your route, and pick it up as you pass by.

I found what I believe is the last box of Leukotape in Beaumont, TX. Must be my lucky day. Off to the Bend we go!
