Any recommendations for a field guide???

I am trying to find a good field guide on wild edibles of the southwest. Most of the books I have found locally are not that great, usually with limited pictures and more sketches than anything. I'm hoping some of you have picked up a favorite, or atleast heard of a great guide. Preferrably, one geared towards the plant life of the prairie to mesquite brushland and the shortgrass plains to chihuahuan scrub of southwest Texas/New Mexico!!  :crossedfingers:

Check out the Chihuahuan Desert Ethnobotony topic.

And then go watch Into The Wild

Ahh.... thanks for the link! I've already seen Into the Wild, and it is now one of my favorite movies... definitely something I would do (except I would have survived  :icon_biggrin:)

I do not have this book, but it looks promising.
