PS - If I hit enter between a yellow smily and text (like if I want to add a paragraph), Lilliputians take over the text and make it very small. Selecting all and changing the font and text size leaves the not size code behind...

When was the last time you cleared your browser cache?

Just now, to no avail, well, maybe a little :icon_cool: Begin test here

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country by typing really, really small letters

At least it made bigger than usual small letters... :icon_lol: but lets keep testing by adding the smily, then a space and text, then backspace over the space and hit enter, then backspace. At least we are saving paper this way

Now that is interesting... it's putting code there but it's not hosing up the text.

How about not hitting enter after a smiley.  :icon_wink:

Clearing cookies and the cache caused me to have to log in. The stuff in quotes is what happened after I logged in.

That's just one scenario. Besides that it's smiley, space, backspace, enter and variations.

It doesn't do it anywhere else, however, the other three forums that I spend time on are using PHPBB, Xenforo (never heard of that one), and Simple Machines.

Given Juan's prodigious photo-posting (non) limits in another thread, and seeing this odd behavior, I'm wondering if BBC has been hacked or is having a nervous breakdown.

I think it's a Mac / forum software thing. It's been doing it for a long time, I just normally grumble to myself, resize the text, and delete all if the bracket slash size bracket things and then save. It's not fun unless you share though  :eusa_dance: :eusa_doh:

Nah, I'm guessing Juan's anomaly was a tapatalk issue. I don't use it so am not familiar with how you attach pictures with it.

On the other hand, iCe has been posting funky text for years.  :icon_biggrin:
