Have any of you used the Sweetie Pie Bag Doubler or Bag Extender?  http://www.functionaldesign.net
As a matter of fact, I _do_ have an opinion on that....

Not that item specifically, but I have owned a number of bags with matching zippers that will join. The larger the zipper size the easier it is to use, but the double bag concept works very well, especially in the winter.

Rather than buying a specialty item like this sweetie thing, I'd spend the money on 2 quality bags that will join, then you have the best of all situations.

Just a Therm-a-Rest coupler kit.  I have several.  We join 4 Therm-a-Rests together and make the tent bottom a huge mattress.

Plastic straps.  It's like a big loop that is joined in the middle and fits over the Therm-a-Rests like a sleeve.  The standard ones fit the 20 x 1 pads.  But they just came out with Universal Couplers that adjust to fit any size pad.

We've got a Sweetie Pie bag doubler and love it. When used for a couple it eliminates a redundant footbox, giving less space to warm. When I head out with just my two boys there is plenty of space for the three of us. When my wife is along with us we zip her sleeping bag into mine and the doubler and the four of us all share one big bag. Highly recomended.
