I'm on the road in Laredo so I haven't had a chance to try out my CradleLounger yet. It's waiting for me at home. I'll give it a try tomorrow or Saturday.

From what's been reported so far, I doubt that I'll be lugging it along when I hike. If it's at least semi-comfortable, it will be a decent base camp addition that doesn't take up too much room in the car. For $20.00, that will be fine with me.  :eusa_clap:

I received my 2 Crazy Creek Loungers the day before I headed to BiBe last week. I tied the chairs on to our backpacks (with string) and headed down the Dodson Trail from Blue Creek. I need to figure a better way to strap the chairs to my pack but other than that the chairs were great. We camped at the 3 Dog site just above Smokey Creek. Those of you who have been that way know there is nothing to sit on except rocks so our chairs were just what the doctor ordered. We sat and sipped our wine and enjoyed the evening. I will definitely take the chairs on my next trip.

I highly recommend!

Glad it worked okay for you DJ!

I tried mine in the living room and it's okay...once you get into it. For my aged body, that's a pain in the....back. The side tubes have markings telling you to "hold here" to get into the chair but there is no way my body will bend enough to make that happen. I can get in okay but for me I have to have at least one knee on the ground as I sorta roll myself into the chair. It's really not that bad (getting in the chair) and it (the chair) does get you off of the ground. It truly is light enough to consider lugging along on a backpacking trip but it's also just bulky enough that I don't plan to do that.

I'll take it along next week and see where it might fit into my camping style. I have a lightweight folding chair that is used in base camp. The CradleLounger won't replace it. Most times I don't mind sitting on the ground or a tree or a rock so the CradleLounger might not be needed in the back country. If I were going to hike in someplace and watch a sunset before hiking back out, the CradleLounger might be just the thing to carry along. I'll just have to see how it shakes out. For the price, it's a decent piece of equipment. Just have to find the best use for it.
