The rep was in our store yesterday and demonstrated the jacket. It heats the core and the hand area. 3 settings and lasts 5-7 hours. You can charge it anywhere!  Gloves and footwear too. You'll never be shivering again!
Check it out!   :great:

Interesting idea and it doesn't look too bulky either, might be good for ski season.  I wonder what the TSA Screeners will do when they see one of these on the X-ray machine?  Probably looks like a suicide vest.

Nope you just need one of these sleeping bags.

http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/search.cmd?N=0&Ntk=AllProducts&Ntt=alaskan+guide+sleeping+bag&WT.z_mc_id1=43000000153249706&WT.srch=1&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=google|cam_Tents+Sleeping+Bags_Sleeping+Bags|USA&rid=20&pcrid=8678874978

-40F rated.  Wonderful for car camping.  Obviously not a hiking bag.  I used to toss and turn all night but no more.  The biggest problem is deciding how much to zip it up . . .

Expensive yes, but what price do you put on a good nights sleep?  Trust me, these are the best around.  I sleep soundly, comfortably, and warm.

One way to rationalize the cost of a really good bag is to compare it to the cost of staying in a rented room.  $130 a night at the Lodge?  If a good bag saves one from checking into a hotel room, say three times,  it's paid for plus you didn't have to stay in a confined box those nights.  The value of the difference?  Priceless!
