That is a clever and obvious invention.   Why didn't I think of that?
My vehicle has one of those "coded keys" with a chip in the key that talks to the ignition system computer.   Extra keys cost about $75 (ouch) but I found that I can get a $5 extra key made at Sears without the coded chip.  It will get you in the door but not start the vehicle.   I keep it hidden under the bumper in case I lock my keys in the vehicle and don't have to worry about anyone stealing the vehicle, only the contents... Hitch safe is a good way to secure a key and a few bucks but it's just now large enough for other items like cameras and handguns.

Well, why on earth would you have a handgun...in the park of all places....when you would be violating untold numbers of regulations.      :D

And that camera? Forget it. It will get you into more trouble than the gun.

Presidio - He needs both the camera and the gun so he can take pictures of himself shooting snakes on the road and then post them on his facebook or myspace page.  :) ... TWWG
