How to Paint/Repair a Wind Turbine Blade
« on: December 02, 2009, 01:22:03 PM »
Ever wonder how they paint or repair the massive wind turbine blades?  Saw one of these massive trucks recently in these parts tooling down the motorway.  In dealing with an oversees company today, turns out they make parts for this vehicle.  Couldn't figure out at the time what the massive vehicle would be used for, now I know.  Up to 104 meters or 341 feet!

In flying its sink rate, in sport parachuting it is terminal velocity, falling out of basket not as dangerous as when any of the above impact the ground, its the stop at the bottom that kills you.

I think it would be neat to be up there, being a typical guy, I'd like to take a whiz from up there, and perhaps introduce a dame to the 104 meter club.   :icon_wink:

It's been a while since I was single, but I'm guessing you might have better luck with the second objective if you don't mention the first one....
