With all of the legitimate concerns recently expressed on here regarding cranky Federal personnel, I'd like to compliment State personnel, specifically Ranger Tim.

Ranger Tim gave me some good advice on here regarding an October trip up on Mesa de Anguila.

Appreciating his good advice, during a Thanksgiving trip to the park area with my wife, I made a point of going to the Barton Warnock Center to meet and thank Ranger Tim face to face.

Ranger Tim and his co-workers were top-drawer nice and were even interested in hearing my story, as I was interested in hearing more good advice from them AND their constant pitch to try some of the Big Bend Ranch State park trails.

I will second this - nothing but positive things to say about the staff I've talked to at Barton Warnock and Sauceda.  They have been helpful and informative, and have passed along safety and rules without treating you like an idiot.
- Tim

Thanks for the kind words. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for y'all. Now let's go have some adventure!

I had the pleasure of meeting and hiking with Tim during the week of January 5th, 2015.  He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and downright nice.  Made my first trip to BBRSP enjoyable and memorable!
