I googled it (Mentone Bluffs).  It is not the Mentone we all know and love.  It is in some place called "Alabama"

We went through Mentone last summer. It was near the end point of a 400 mile long yard sale that stretched from Alabama to Kentucky. We stayed at DeSoto Park which is the home of DeSoto Falls.

A little ways away is the Little River Canyon National Preserve. I had seen pictures of it in Backpacker Magazine where it was described as the Grand Canyon of the East.
